Primary 1 - Friday 6th February

What a fabulous week in Primary 1!

We have been learning how to use a ruler to measure different items and primary 1 are loving it. We started by finding things in the classroom that are smaller or bigger than our ruler and then used the ruler to measure pencils and lines drawn on the table.

Great Green: “What went well…”

-In Jolly Phonics, we have been working on the sound ‘ch’. We know how to read words like cheese, chop and chicken. We played ‘ch’ bingo, sorting games and games on the board.

-In Maths, we have been learning how to measure. We know that a ruler has 30cm and a metre stick has 100cm. We are very proud that we know how to use a ruler!

Think Pink: “Even better if…”

-In Maths, we want to learn how to measure the weight of different items.

-In Writing, we will continue to focus on how to compete a sentence including capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.

Lead Learners:

This weeks lead learners did a great job, well done Theo and Amelie!

Our lead learners next week are Isla and Tanishq for consistently following school values and approaching their work with a positive attitude.
