Primary 5 - 6th February

Primary 5 have been using different learning approaches to practise key skills. They used an app called ‘Plickers’ to show how much they have remembered of their learning about the life of Victorian children, understanding of place value and time durations.

Great Green – ‘What went well’

– Primary 5 had a visitor in the class on Thursday afternoon and this visitor left having been very impressed with the learning of the pupils, their listening and talking skills and how well they worked in a group.
– We all made comic strips on the theme of positive and negative emotions – creating scenarios showing the ways in which negative feelings can be turned around and changed into a more positive experience.

Think Pink – ‘Even better if’

– practise times tables – write each times table down on a piece of paper, get someone to ask you questions and use Sumdog for even more practise.
– Primary 5 have decided that their handwriting needs more practise to improve neatness and speed when joining letters.

Lead Learners.

Our lead learners last week did a great job. Thank you – William and Darcey
This week our Lead Learners are Joe and Stirling
Their task will be to
– record the reading experiences of the class each day. Asking – ‘What did you read today?’
– support pupils when using ‘Giglets’.
