Primary 1 - Friday 20th February

What a great return for Primary 1, we have tried very hard in our learning this week. We have been loving learning about words that rhyme and playing games with rhyming. We are also practising writing CVC words.

The children asked me to take pictures to share with you!

Great Green: “What went well…”

-In reading, we have been working on rhyme. We know that when words sound the same they rhyme.

Some examples are:

-cat and hat

-house and mouse

-knock and clock

-spoon and moon

-In Numeracy, we have been adding numbers together. We are loving using the concrete materials to add numbers.

 

Think Pink: “Even better if…”

-In Maths, we want to learn how to measure the weight of different items.

-In Literacy, we are excited to learn our new sound next week!

 

Lead Learners:

This weeks lead learners did a great job, well done Isla and Tanishq.

Next week our lead learners are Azaleea and Imogen for showing responsibility in the classroom and tidying up resources.
