Meldrum Messages - Friday 27th March 2026

We’ve had a jam packed last week of term!  Our P3 pupils started to practise for their class assembly and are enjoying songs linked to their Egyptians topic.  P1 took part in some egg hunts and had to sound out the words that they found inside the egg.  P2 were super excited during outdoor learning on Thursday as they thought that they had discovered the Easter bunny had been in the playground!

We held a meeting for parents of P7 pupils going on the residential to Dalguise in April and shared key and important safety messages.  Anyone who couldn’t attend is welcome to contact me individually to discuss any information in the packs sent home.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Parent Council Easter bingo in the school last night.  It was a lovely, fun event which everyone enjoyed.  Thanks to the Parent Council for putting this event on and their continued efforts in fundraising for the school.

We had our Easter assembly today which was led by Nelu, our school chaplain.  We then heard about some of our wider achievements outside of school at the end of term Achievement Assembly.  At the end of the assembly, we celebrated our lovely Miss Burke who is going to be married during the Easter break.  We wish her and her husband to be lots of love, happiness and good wishes for a lovely wedding day and their future together.  We know that we are going to forget to call her by her married name for the first few weeks but look forward to welcoming her back as Mrs Nagle.

A reminder that we resume after the break on Tuesday 14th April.  I hope that everyone has a lovely time at Easter and that we are lucky to see some sunny spring weather over the holiday.  The staff team and I would like to thank parents/carers for your continued support and look forward to welcoming the children back after the break.
