Primary 1 - Friday 1st May
This week in Primary 1, Miss Jones was away at school camp so Miss Ross and our student Miss Lockhart have been working with the class.
We were learning a new Jolly Phonics sound, we used our Mighty Writer board, learned another skill in subtraction and have been out a few walks in the sun.
In topic, we looked at the names of baby animals.
Great Green: “What went well…”
-We learned the new sound ‘oa’ and we now know words that have the oa sound are coat, boat, oat, goat, oak and toast.
-We have been working on our subtraction using a number line.
-We also learned about symmetry.
-We have adapted well to new adults in the classroom.
Think Pink: “Even better if…”
-Next week, we will be practising our blending in reading and sums in Numeracy.
Lead Learners:
Well done to Nia and Irha for being our lead learners this week. Our lead learners next week are for two different things. Imogen for showing good listening skills when on the carpet and completing her learning. Azaleea for taking responsibility for her own learning and showing her inquisitive nature when looking for bugs outside.
