P6 - Friday 1st May 2026

This week we had Mrs Harris on Monday. She taught us how to measure races with stop watches. She also taught us about how different sports measure their success differently e.g. some sports look for the biggest numbers to win, some sports look for the smallest numbers to win.

• Providing a warm welcome to a new pupil in the class
• Improvements in our personal comments when writing a recount.
• Fractions lesson provided a chance to show off our knowledge about building a fraction, drawing it and matching them.

• Respecting the line between having fun and being silly.
• Chatting and staying focussed during lesson rotations.

Lead Learner Update

Our Lead Learners next week will be Jonah for showing responsibility in choosing to help people with their numeracy. And Lucy for showing responsibility through looking after the plants in our classroom and for releasing a BIG spider for us! Well done guys
