P3 - Friday 15th May
For Mental Health Awareness Week, Primary 3 have been learning about the importance of being kind to ourselves and recognising that this can look different for everyone. Each pupil shared or wrote about what they like about themselves, and they are practising taking time to create their own “happy place.
Great Green
Primary 3 have developed their skills in procedural writing and are very proud of their achievements.
Think Pink
Remember carrying ten is important in column (chimney) sums because it helps us keep the place values correct.
When you add numbers in a column, each column represents a place value (ones, tens, hundreds, etc.). If the total in one column is 10 or more, it doesn’t fit in that column anymore. So, we write down the ones part and “carry” the extra ten into the next column.
This weeks Lead Learners are Hazel and Harris!
