Primary 2 - Friday 5th June 2026

Another great week in Primary 2! Despite the rainy weather, we’ve had lots of fun learning about different countries taking part in this year’s World Cup. The children are beginning to feel excited about the upcoming holidays and their move into Primary 3. I’ve reminded them all that we still have three weeks to go and there’s plenty more learning and fun ahead.

Great Green: Recently we have enjoyed…

-Becoming experts at our 2 and 10 times tables.

-Writing about the life cycles of butterflies and frogs.

-Finding out information about Ghana (one of our countries in the World Cup!)

Think Pink: Next week we will work on…

-Making links between multiplication and division (inverse operations!)

-Investigate and explore Argentina (another one of our countries in the World Cup!)

-Being courteous, kind and thinking of others when playing and working together. We are also going to focus on keeping the toilets and area tidy after playing.

Lead Learners:

Well done to Rosie and Matthew for being our lead learners this week. They have done a wonderful job helping the other children and encouraging them to be kind.

Our lead learners next week are Ellie and Annie. They are responsible learners, showing courage and perseverance if they make a mistake, knowing we are always learning… even as adults… and that’s a good thing!
