Primary 5 - Friday 12th June
We enjoyed designing and creating a World Cup t-shirt for the nation of Croatia. We are also identifying on a wall map and in atlases the nations taking part in the first few matches as well as their flags and their national anthems. We will continue to do this in the next 2 weeks.
Great Green – ‘What went well’
• We have been using data to create a graph, thinking about the x and y axis, the scale and the type of graph which best suits the information. We made line and block graphs.
• We explored horizontal and vertical lines in art, looking at the horizon to support our understanding of the x axis in a graph. We added vertical objects to our paintings e.g. wind turbines, trees, cacti etc
Think Pink – ‘Even better if’
We will generate our own data next week – deciding what we want to find out from areas of personal interest, who our sample group will be, how we can record the results and then how we will show this on a graph. Finally, we will use this process to reach conclusions about the data.
Lead Learners.
Our lead learners this week are Arlo and Lily. They are showing an excellent level of participation in Numeracy and Maths tasks.
