Friday 4th September P1/2

P1/2 have had another busy week learning new skills. In two of our activities this week we had to complete tasks with a partner: in Topic we had to cut and stick words to label the different parts of an elephant and in Numeracy P1 had to order Uno cards 0-9 then build the corresponding number with the matching colour of Number Blocks.

P2 worked together and helped each other to order the ten numbers (10, 20, 30…) then match the correct number of ‘tens’ to each one.

In P.E. this week we were learning to take turns when working in a team.

Our value this week has been Perseverance. We all showed this value during our writing lesson when writing a description of an elephant.

In Maths we have been learning about 2D shapes and in Art, with Mrs Stewart, we had to stick shapes onto a cauldron then print bubbles using different circles.

Great Green – (things that went well) …everyone worked well with a partner to complete their tasks.

Think Pink – (we need to practise) … walking (not running) about the classroom and cloakroom to keep ourselves and others safe.

Our lead learners for next week are Jenson and Leah.
