Primary 5 - Friday 6th November

Primary 5 were out and about this week taking part in a handball festival at Deans Community High School. This was great fun and pupils are keen to continue to hone their skills during P.E. lessons.
Great Green – ‘What went well’
• This term our focus in writing is information reports and this week we started to look at the key features when writing about ‘The Blue Planet’. Pupils made an excellent effort in this task. Looking forward to finding out about sea creatures by reading pupil’s information reports in the coming weeks.
• Primary 5 have started to learn the ocarina with Mrs England. What an interesting time we had finding out about the ocarina and looking at lots of different ocarina which were all shapes and sizes. We learned to get a sound from our instruments and play the first note.
Think Pink – ‘Even better if’
• Checking our calculations during Daily Mental Strategies to guarantee accuracy is not compromised for speed!!
