P1/2 Friday 6th November

P1/2 enjoyed our first session of Outdoor Learning yesterday. We collected lots of autumn leaves, then created a picture inside a frame.

One of our activities in this week has been using cotton buds with autumn colours to paint leaves onto trees and yesterday we used glitter to make firework pictures.

For writing we used ‘bossy verbs’ to write instructions to stay safe on Bonfire Night.

In P.E we started our gymnastics and have been practising making strong shapes and balance.

P1 have been learning new sounds (ai and oa) and have used the magnetic letters to build some words with them.

We have started our weather topic and are looking forward to finding out about different types of weather.

In Maths we have been collecting different types of information and using a 3D graph board to display and talk about our results.

We have also started to learn about ‘The Rights of the Child’ and why they are important.

Great Green – (things that went well) … art and craft in the open area.

  • Think Pink – (we need to practise) …using our sounds to write words.

Our lead learners for next week are Rhea and Myla.
